Academic Transfer Plan for the Hospitality and Tourism Cluster


You have chosen the Academic Transfer pattern of education in the Hospitality and Tourism (HSPTR) career cluster. The Academic Transfer Pattern means that you will be taking General Education Core Curriculum courses and some major prerequisites at the community college. The major courses of the bachelor degree will be taken in the junior and senior years at the university after completion of the associate degree. This is often called a 2+2 Transfer Plan.

Total AA or AS degree requirements comprise a minimum of 60 Semester Hours.

Note: the specific courses in each component area above should be chosen carefully to insure transferability toward the specific university bachelor degree in this Career Cluster. Most universities will transfer a maximum of 66 semester hours from a community college toward bachelor degree requirements. Please see a counselor for details.
